Another successful edition of the international HR Starter program is behind us! This year again, Manpower Slovenia proudly participated in organizing the free 6-week online course, held in collaboration with HR World Adria. The program is aimed at students, recent graduates, and master’s students who want to gain the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in human resource management.
We participated for the fifth year in a row, as the HR Starter program once again brought together over 200 participants from across the region and beyond – including many from Slovenia. Through lectures, articles, assignments, and mentoring sessions, participants explored key areas of modern HR, from recruitment and employee development to performance management, emerging trends, and the use of technology in HR processes.
This year’s mentors were Monika Ficjan and Mihaela Preskar from the company Intera, where they actively shape and implement modern HR practices. Monika, a psychologist and HR manager, focuses on the strategic development of HR solutions within the company. At the same time, Mihaela, an expert in digitalizing HRM processes, supports businesses in implementing effective, tech-driven HR solutions. They shared their extensive knowledge and experience with participants during three mentoring sessions, where students also worked on practical HR case studies under their guidance.
The program was coordinated on behalf of Manpower Slovenia by Eva Zečevič, Marketing Coordinator, and Ana Žugič, International Mobility Coordinator.
As in previous years, the final part of the program included presentations of case studies developed by student teams throughout the course. The mentors provided valuable feedback and concrete advice for the participants’ future career paths.
The students' final presentations delivered many innovative ideas and solutions to the given challenges.
HR Starter once again demonstrated the importance of connecting experienced HR professionals with young talents who are just beginning their journey in the world of human resources. We’re proud to support the development of the next generation of HR professionals.
